Condition
A leaf from a different manuscript (18th) used as a flyleaf (f. 1). The threads of the binding are broken, some quires are loose. The back board is broken, the leather cover and textile inlays are to the most part torn off. Some leaves (e.g., containing traditional introduction to the Gospels) are probably lost. The Ms. has been resewn; pricks of the original sewing are visible on the spine. Part of Text IV – the list of the “tituli” for the Gospel of John (CAe 1693 TituliJohn) – has been misplaced into Text I (Gospel of Matthew). Traces and turn-ins of a previous overback are preserved on the inner side of both boards.
Binding
Two wooden boards covered with dark brown tooled leather, textile inlays (the back board is broken; leather and textile inlays are to the most part torn off).
Binding decoration
Two pairs of chains of endband stitches at the spine cover. Some quires are reinforced by parchment guards (quires I, II, III, VI, etc.).
